When my partner and I started planning our wedding we had absolutely no idea where to search for a celebrant and were wishing we could have one of our friends marry us because we weren't sure where else we would find anyone who would resonate with us as strongly as someone who knew us intimately. It was synchronicity which drew Marilyn to us, and from the moment I contacted her I felt a strong and positive connection with her. Marilyn has all the wonderful qualities that one could possibly hope for in a celebrant... she is warm and friendly, deeply and passionately committed to her work, unique and creative in her approach, and borders on psychic in her ability to understand your needs and meet them. Often as I was thinking of something that we needed or wanted for the ceremony, she would just magically send me an email with exactly what I was thinking of, perfectly woven into the script. She has a beautiful warm heart, and a magical quality that made the whole process of preparing for our wedding extra special, and so so much easier and less stressful than if we were attempting to do it ourselves. Marilyn is also highly professional and shares an abundance of resources with the couples lucky enough to choose her. Basically Marilyn was the PERFECT celebrant for us, she has a delightful blend of professionalism, magic, warmth, supportiveness and understanding. She is incredibly open minded, offering a smorgasbord of options, beyond anything you thought possible and she has a truly spiritual approach to her work, not just going through the motions, but pouring her heart and soul into the experience. She is by far the best celebrant I have ever seen conduct a wedding ceremony and I just feel so blessed that she was part of the most special day of our lives, in fact she was an integral part of making it the most special day of our lives. Marilyn is like a modern day St. Valentine, she is extremely passionate about love and marriage and this definitely came through in the ceremony she prepared for us. With an incredible knowledge and understanding of rituals and ceremonies from cultures of all over the world, Marilyn was instrumental in making our ceremony so unique, magical, interesting, and heartfelt. Her entwining of our love stories had people in laughter and tears and many of our guests commented on things that she quoted. This showed us that she captured our people whom listened to the entire 45 minute ceremony and really enjoyed it. We are from Adelaide and decided to get married in the most beautiful part of Australia......The Gold Coast! Planning just about every part of our wedding was done via the internet & email. I searched the internet for a celebrant, I made a few enquiries and found them to be either too pushy or too boring and not quite what we were looking for. Then I came across Marilyn's website, it was full of so many happy couples who all spoke about how Marilyn helped them create the perfect ceremony. Marilyn's Website described the many different types of ceremonies you could choose from and had such beautiful photo's of all the blissfully happy Brides and Grooms, I was very drawn to this particular website so I made an enquiry. The very next day I received a phone call from this wonderful vibrant lady, who I felt a connection to almost immediately and after spending 1 hour on the phone, I hung up with happy tears in my eyes from all the beautiful stories she was telling me and I knew that she was the one to marry us. Marilyn helped us to create the most beautiful ceremony, which was very unique and perfect for us.....non traditional. During the ceremony Marilyn told our beautiful love story, and my husband also made vows to my 11yr old son. There was not a dry eye in the house. Marilyn's online resource pack was fantastic, it gave us some great ideas that helped us write our vows. We felt so at ease and comfortable with Marilyn, she was always just a phone call away. When we decided to get married, finding a celebrant was one of our first tasks. I contacted quite a few celebrants online but Marilyn was the only one who took the time to call me personally, and after a brief chat and our first meeting we knew we didn't need to look any further. "Sarah and I organized our wedding in almost one month , as I was coming from abroad we had to make a lot of decisions in a little time. While we were surfing the net we bumped into the Marry Me Marilyn web site. We were impressed by Marilyn’s experience in a range of different ceremonies… they were really special and touching and basically we wanted to incorporate all of them!
