I became a marriage celebrant because I found it such a buzz writing my own magical, fun and totally unique conscious wedding ceremony. My husband and I are two people who joined together on a journey of growth. Our love and trust keeps us together, our intuition guides us. We consult with each other, we are friends, we laugh a lot and we are equals who care as much about each other as ourselves!
I have travelled and worked around the world and seen the most amazing things. I have encountered a vast array of different lifestyles, cultures, languages and traditions and can integrate their special ceremonial styles or elements of exotic rituals into the ceremony we design together.

In planning a wedding I didn’t really know where to start, the first place I thought to look was the internet and I came across a site for celebrants – there were literally 100’s. I didn’t really have a plan of attack in choosing one so I read a little about a few on the site and sent off enquiries to them. Out of the half that decided to respond, I got a few that were very pushy and a few that didn’t have much experience, and then I heard from you. When Kim and I decided to set a date for our wedding, I thought the first thing to do was to find a marriage celebrant. I “Googled” Marriage celebrants on the Gold Coast and very quickly came upon Marilyn’s website “Marry Me Marilyn”. Each person had a different colour sand and we each took turns at pouring it into the special heart shaped vase we had. One of the very special services I offer is to write your Love Story as your Wedding Ceremony Introduction. It helps me get to know you also as a couple and gives me the insight into your relationship so I can help you make choices for your ceremony that are really YOU! If you give me oodles of fun material, I can weave it into your ceremony in other places such as the Declaration and sub-ceremonies like the rose exchange or wine ceremony to again make them totally unique and special. I wrote a beautiful ceremony for Angela & David for their Wedding at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast including their Love Story and a Blessing of the Hands. When you include your love story no one can ever have a ceremony like yours, it will be unique and highlight your personalities and your sense of humour. The Love Story will delight your guests who often don't know the story of how you got together or the special things you love about each other or the special qualities you bring out in one another.
